A man fishing on Weiss Lake fell off a concrete wall and drowned near the spillway in Leesburg, Alabama on Friday of last week. 

Late Saturday, the Cherokee County Alabama Coroner released the name of the victim.  Cherokee County Coroner Paul McDonald said the body of Cedric Davis was recovered just after 7 PM on Friday night.

Davis had been fishing with his son near the spillway at the time of the drowning on Friday morning around 9:30 AM.

Rescue crews spent several hours searching the water with boats and divers.
