In a move to bolster transparency and voter confidence in Georgia’s electoral process, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has announced the launch of a new ballot tracking feature on the state’s My Voter Page (MVP) platform.

This innovative tool, powered by Ballot Scout, will empower absentee voters to closely monitor the status of their mail-in ballots throughout the entire journey – from the moment they request their ballot to when it is ultimately accepted by their county elections office. By providing real-time updates via text, email, or phone call, this tracking system aims to give Georgians a greater sense of assurance that their votes are being received and counted. This development is just the latest in a series of initiatives spearheaded by Secretary Raffensperger to modernize and strengthen Georgia’s election infrastructure.

Over the past few years, he has introduced measures such as mandatory photo ID for all forms of voting, a minimum 17-day early voting period, the exclusive use of paper ballots, and the requirement for counties to complete ballot processing and results reporting on election day. Additionally, the Secretary has unveiled other voter-centric tools like the My Voter Page and Datahub to grant the public unprecedented access to election data and information. With these successive reforms, Raffensperger aims to cultivate a voting system that is not only secure, but also highly transparent and responsive to the needs of Georgia’s diverse electorate.

As the state’s chief elections official, he is clearly committed to leaving no stone unturned in his mission to protect the integrity of the democratic process and empower citizens to make their voices heard. Voters who choose to cast their ballots by mail are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the new ballot tracking capabilities on the My Voter Page, ensuring they can monitor the status of their vote with real-time precision.
