A new business is opening in downtown Summerville.  Myers Vintage & Local will be located at 9974 Commerce Street in Summerville.  Olivia Myers, owner of the new business told WZQZ News that the store is the fulfillment of a life-long goal.

Myers said that her job at Vanderbilt University got cut during the pandemic.  She then went to auction school and intended to start an auction business right away, but the pandemic stalled that plan.  Myers said, “My goal my whole life has been to be an entrepreneur and I’m finally here.  (The new store) is phase one, and the auction portion should begin early next year.”  Ms. Myers said that she owes a debt of gratitude to local auctioneer Travis Money for showing her “the path” to becoming an auctioneer.

Myers Vintage & Local will feature antiques, regional handcrafted goods, and architectural salvage.

The Chattooga Chamber and Summerville Main Street are inviting the public for a ribbon cutting at the new business on Monday (November 28th) at 1 PM.
