Chattooga County School Superintedent Jimmy Lenderman told AM 1180 that contruction on the new Chattooga County High School won’t start until the summer of 2013.  Lenderman explained that the reason the building won’t be started until next year is that the school system can not submit the application for funding until July of this year with the State of Georgia Department of Education.  The Georgia Legislature will then have to approve the money in the Spring of 2013 and construction can begin in the summer.  Lenderman expects the project to take about a year with the projected completion to take place in the fall of 2014.
