Eagle Scout Aiden Rivera and Friends of Sloppy Floyd State Park Board Member Johnny Crawford

There are six new kayaks at Sloppy Floyd State Park in Summerville.  Aiden Rivera and the Friends of Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites, the Friends of Sloppy Floyd were able to purchase six new kayaks and two new canoes for the park.

Aiden just recently became an Eagle Scout and chose to build a boat rack on the upper lake as his project. The Friends of Sloppy Floyd wrote a matching Passport Grant through the Friends of Georgia State Parks to fund the purchase of the boats.

The Friends of Sloppy Floyd State Park would like to thank everyone who supports their efforts so they can do meaningful projects like this at the park.
