Poll results released over the weekend show Georgia Republican Governor Brian Kemp in a statistical tie with Democratic challenger Stacy Abrams. The same poll shows Georgia Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock leading Republican challenger Herschel Walker by almost 9 percentage points.
The poll, conducted the next to the last week of July, surveyed 950 Georgia adult voters and found Kemp leading Abrams by 1% point – a statistical tie. Warnock was leading Walker 48% to 39% with the same voters being questioned – indicating that Georgia voters are becoming more willing to vote a split ticket in the General Elections.
Kemp’s strongest demographic continues to be men, while Abrams shows a lead among Georgia’s women voters. Also, Kemp leads by over 11 points in voters over the age of 50.
