Downtown LaFayette is excited for the 2025 season of the LaFayette Farmers Market, which has a new, permanent location at the Downtown Commons Pavilion. The market has become popular since it started in 2023, attracting about 1,000 visitors weekly from May to August. People come to buy fresh produce, handmade goods, enjoy music, and socialize.

To support the market’s growth, the city built the Downtown Commons Pavilion in 2024 to shelter vendors and visitors, allowing the market to operate in any weather. The Pavilion was completed in late 2024 and serves as covered public parking when the market is not open, benefiting the area.

The market emphasizes local craftsmanship, as it’s a “makers-only” market where every item is handmade or homegrown. The 2025 season begins on April 26th with a ribbon-cutting at 8:45 AM, continuing every Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM, May through August. This year’s market is a great chance to enjoy the local community and support farmers and artisans.
