The storms that hit Northwest Georgia last night caused some problems for power companies.  NGEMC reported that as of 10 p.m., they had approximately 3,500 customers without power scattered throughout the seven-county service area that they serve, with the largest concentration of outages in Gordon County. Crews were dispatched and were working to restore power as soon as possible. Additional crews were on standby in the event that outages became more widespread.
