It’s certainly nothing new, but North Georgia EMC says that scammers are once again contacting the utility’s members. 

Several NGEMC members have reported receiving a call from someone claiming to be with another utility and demanding payment.

North Georgia EMC says, “Please remember to NEVER give your personal or payment information to an unsolicited caller.”

NGEMC does not make calls to collect money from our members.

If you receive a call from someone stating you are about to be disconnected for non-payment, please hang up and call NGEMC at one of our published phone numbers to check on your account status.
