Because of hazardous road conditions, all NGEMC business offices will close at 5 p.m. this afternoon and will reopen at 9 a.m. on a delayed schedule Wednesday morning. However, extra dispatch and operations personnel will remain on duty throughout the night and through the duration of the storm.   As of 4 p.m. only a small number of new outages due to fallen trees and tree limbs have been reported. Additional crews are on standby in the event of widespread problems.  Customers without electricity are asked to call their local NGEMC office and use the automated telephone outage reporting system. If outages are widespread, the phone lines may be busy due to a heavy call volume. NGEMC urges extreme caution around fallen trees and power lines and along roadways as utility crews work to restore power. Please do not go near downed trees or power lines but report these immediately to NGEMC or local emergency authorities.    For customers and media with internet capability, outage information will be posted on the NGEMC web site at www.ngemc.com.   Phone numbers to local NGEMC offices are as follows: Ft. Oglethorpe — (706) 866-2231; Calhoun — (706) 629-3160; Trion — (706) 734-7341; Dalton — (706) 259-9441. NGEMC serves more than 99,000 customers in a seven-county area that includes Catoosa, Chattooga, Floyd, Gordon, Murray, Walker and Whitfield counties###
