The Georgia State Patrol’s post in Rome has released the accident report to local media from last week’s fatal wreck on the Lyerly highway that killed two county residents.  The accident took the lives of Charlie Caldwell and Alice Fay Ivester after the 1989 Buick Century they were in was hit by a 2005 Model Frito Lay Delivery truck that was registered to Rolling Frito Lay Sales of Atlanta and was being driven by Jeremy Hankins of Lyerly.  According to the report charges are still pending against Hankins in connection with the accident.  The Georgia State Patrol emphasizes that the accident is still under investigation.
