While there won’t be hundreds of kids lining the streets of Summerville on Halloween weekend for the annual Optimist Club Halloween Walk, the Town of Trion is planning to have “security and assistance” present in the high-traffic trick-or-treating areas of Trion. About all Fall events have been cancelled by local municipalities this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Children can freely go into Walmart but won’t be allowed to experience the courtesy of local businesses handing out candy ? We really need to reconsider this – meanwhile we are working on plans to safely still hand out candy to the kids
