A North Carolina couple were arrested and booked into the Cherokee County, Alabama jail last week after Centre Police investigated a case of transmitting obscene images to a minor.

WEIS Radio reports that Centre, Alabama Police Chief Kirk Blankenship said Anthony Domineck and Shannon K. Donovan were extradited from North Carolina on Friday of last week after a lengthy investigation by Centre Police investigators.

The case began when a concerned parent reached out to law enforcement after concerning messages were found on a minor’s phone. The contents were extremely explicit.

Rainbow City Police assisted Centre Police in investigating the allegations.

The North Carolina couple will be facing multiple charges in Alabama in connection with the case.
