A man from Northwest Georgia is behind bars after investigators say he made violent threats toward United States Postal Service employees.
A Kingston man, 41-year-old Michael Wayne Haynes, is accused of making the statements over a recorded phone line, according to Floyd County Jail records. The recording reportedly captures Haynes saying he was going to go to the post office and “bust some heads.” He also allegedly threatened to “put them in the ground,” and said, “You don’t steal from me or my family, I’ll un-alive you.”
Jail records also indicate Haynes said the next time a postal worker came up, he was going to grab him out of his truck.
Haynes is charged with terroristic threats and acts.
