Last week the Chattooga County Agricultural Fair made the difficult decision to cancel the fair for 2020.  It looks like another area fair might also be canceled.

The Coosa Valley Fair has been going on for over 70 years and is run by the Exchange Club of Rome, Georgia.  All members of the Rome Exchange Club are voting members of the association, but the day to day management and planning is left in the hands of an elected Coosa Valley Fair Board of Directors.

Coosa Valley Fair Board of Directors President JP Cooper told the Rome News-Tribune this week, “Quite honestly it’s not looking good” when asked about this year’s event.

A decision on this year’s Coosa Valley Fair is expected when the board meets next Tuesday.
