A Chattooga County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a theft call in Halls Valley this week after a complainant reported a set of off-road tires and wheels being stolen.

The complainant told the responding deputy that when he got home from work he found four Spider Lock Wheels mounted with Super-Swamper SX tires had been taken from outside his garage.  The complainant said that the tires and wheels had been leaning against a vehicle parked in front of his garage.

The tires and wheels weighed about 175 pounds each and were valued at $3,800.  Nothing else was missing from the property.

The incident in under investigation.
