The Calhoun Police Department reported on Thursday morning that an officer was involved in a shooting with a suspect.

Calhoun Police say that the GBI is investigating an officer involved shooting that happen on Adair Street in the City of Calhoun.

Police say that one man died in the incident.

Calhoun Police Chief T. Pyle said, “I have asked the the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to conduct an independent investigation into the shooting incident.”
