Open Door Home, a long-standing haven for youth in need across Northwest Georgia, is hosting its annual “Party on the Plaza” fundraising event on **Friday, March 21st at 6 pm** at Rotary Plaza in downtown Rome. For nearly a century, Open Door Home has provided vital care and support to young people facing challenging circumstances, including neglect, abandonment, abuse, and the absence of parental figures. They offer both emergency and extended care, equipping youth with the resources they need to thrive, both during their stay and as they transition to independent living.
The “Party on the Plaza” promises an evening of fun and philanthropy, featuring delicious food and drinks, a silent auction brimming with enticing items, and live entertainment by Corey Tucker. Amy Weaver, Life Coach for Open Door Home’s Independent Living program, emphasizes that proceeds from the event will directly fund extracurricular activities for the youth served by the organization. “These activities are so important for our young people,” Weaver explained. “They provide opportunities for growth, development, and simply enjoying being a kid.”
Tickets for the event are available for $80 per individual and $150 per couple. Those interested in attending can find the ticket purchase link on Open Door Home’s Facebook page. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses and individuals looking to make a larger impact. Open Door Home is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing residential facilities and compassionate care for neglected and/or abused youth.
