Almost 1000 people have signed up for the Chattooga County Library’s Summer Reading Program.

The library in Summerville held a kick-off event for the program on Saturday.  The local library posted the following on their social media page:

We are so excited! Our system has over 970 participants registered for the 2021 Summer Reading Program! Thank you to everyone that has registered for the challenge so far. After creating your Beanstack accounts, be sure to click “Register” under the 2021 Kids (or Teens) Summer Reading Program to be enrolled in the current challenge. Even if you created an account last year, you will still need to log in, update your information, and register for the program. https://shrls.beanstack.org/reader365.

The goal of the summer reading program is to have your child read 20 hours between the start and end of the program.
