The Summerville Recreation Department is planning a parade next week to honor the 8 & Under Boys and Girls State Champion teams.

Both teams won the state championship and will be honored next Tuesday, July 16th with a parade that will begin at CVS Pharmacy and travel north through downtown Summerville on Commerce Street, ending at the Dollar General Store located at the intersection of Kelly Street.

Teams are encouraged to decorate a float. The community is encouraged to line the sidewalks along the parade route to cheer and celebrate the team achievements.

Also, All-Star Teams are invited to participate in the parade with a float so that they can be recognized for their district and state accomplishments.
