A preliminary hearing has been scheduled in the murder trial of Sam Parker who stands accused of killing his estranged wife Theresa. Sam Parker worked as a city police man in LaFayette and was considered a person of interest immediately after his wife’s disappearance. Theresa Parker worked for the Walker County 911 as a dispatcher. Theresa and Sam Parker were in the process of divorcing when she disappeared. Sam Parker will be in Superior Court in Walker County on Friday April 17th for the first of two pre-trial hearings. The case is being tried by the Floyd County D.A.’s office after Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney Buzz Franklin bowed out of the case due to his office being located in LaFayette.
