From Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader: At approximately 3:00 a.m. this morning a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Highway 27 in the area of Wal-Mart. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital in serious condition. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating. More information will be released when it becomes available.
