Former Menlo School Principal Mark Pickle has dropped out of the race for the Republican nomination for the Menlo seat on the Chattooga County Board of Education.

Chattooga County Probate Judge Gary Woods said on Friday that Pickle had decided to quit the race.  That leaves Steve Groves and Lori Brady to vie for the Republican Party nomination.

The winner of the Republican Primary in May will be facing off with another former Menlo School Principal in the General Election in November.  Incumbent Lynn Hall is running as a Democrat for a full term.
