A North Little Sand Mountain Road man reported the theft of a pistol over the past weekend to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.
A responding deputy spoke with the complainant who said that he his Taurus revolver inside his wife’s vehicle.
The revolver was described as being “stainless steel with wooden handles”. The gun was last seen about two weeks ago when he and his wife traveled to Chattanooga. The complainant valued the gun at $490.
The gun was left in the passenger side door of his wife’s car, according to the report.
The complainant said that he wasn’t sure if the pistol was stolen in Chattanooga or Chattooga County.
He was able to supply the serial number to the deputy. The incident was turned over to an investigator.
