Old Highway 27 saw some excitement last week when an airplane had to make an emergency landing.

No injuries reported as a light plane made a “wheels up” emergency landing in a farm field off Old Trion Highway.  It happened just before sundown Thursday afternoon.
Walker Fire Rescue said only the pilot was onboard the aircraft… and he was not injured.
