Summerville Police and agents with the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force arrested a suspected drug dealer on March 2nd, after asking a suspect to search his apartment and finding a large quantities of illegal drugs.

According to a report from Summerville Police, law enforcement had been made aware of a man named “John” that was actively selling drugs in Summerville.  Police suspected John Reid as the one that was being reported.

When the police and drug task force agents went to the Scoggins Street address where Reid lives, they asked Reid if he had any illegal drugs.  Reid told the officers that he had methamphetamine and marijuana.

In addition to drugs and drug-related objects, officers found over $1,300 in cash that they suspected to be proceeds from the sale of illegal drugs.

Reid admitted to selling drugs and told the officers that he traveled to Rome to get the drugs for his own use and for selling to others.  Police took Reid into custody on a variety of drug-related charges.

Police also arrested a female at the residence, Kasey Holmes and charged her with drug possession and possession of drug-related objects.
