Work is progressing on the new building at Menlo Elementary School.  It has been one year since the project began in earnest.

Last October, the land was cleared behind the current Menlo School building and by July of this year, drainage work was completed and footers were being poured.  Over the past two weeks, workers have been putting the metal roof on the building and final stages of concrete pouring have been underway.  Water connections to the new building were being installed this week while students were on Fall Break.  Chattooga County School Supt. Jared Hosmer says that work is “right on track”.

The new building at Menlo Elementary School will be replacing the oldest buildings still in use in the Chattooga County School System.
