Re. Coronavirus Emergency Protocols

Whereas a State of Emergency has been declared by the Chief Justice Of the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Chief Judge of The Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit, the Governor of Georgia and the President of The United States I have directed that, beginning immediately, “social distancing protocols” shall be implemented in the operation of said office, for a time period of 30 days. Accordingly, and to the extent possible, all attorneys will be “teleworking” and no personal visits to any office shall be permitted unless specific advance arrangements are agreed upon. Any person who needs assistance may contact the office by telephone or email. If you need assistance regarding someone who is in one of our local jails, please contact us with all relevant details. We will be working with local officials to identify and seek the release of anyone with heightened physical risk factors. If you know of someone who falls in that category please notify me by email (ddunn@gapublicdefender.org) immediately. Please see the order issued by Chief Judge Kristina Graham for information regarding court postponements and scheduling. The Catoosa County trial term set to begin on March 16th has be cancelled.
I ask that all clients, families and others be patient and bear with us as we navigate this unprecedented situation. Contact me by email if you have any questions or comments on these matters.”
