Chattooga County Sheriff Deputies recently responded to a call of a disturbance over some property.
Chattooga County Sheriff Deputies responded to a West Armuchee Road address regarding a dispute over property. Speaking to complainant. Leonard Rigsby, Deputies learned that Rigsby had won his residence in an auction against Leland Scoggins; an adjoining property owner.
Rigsby reported that Scoggins had been upset over losing the bid and had made veiled threats regarding the house. Rigsby states that there have been several issues with Scoggins since purchasing the property. Scoggins is accused of having people drive down their dead end road all day and night as well as yelling at them. Some have even knocked on the door late at night.
Rigsby also accused Scoggins of attempting to sabotage his newly fixed driveway by forcing more traffic than normal down it. Rigsby stated that he was going to send Scoggins a bill for the upkeep of the drive.
A report was placed on file of this incident.
Mr. Scoggins a bill to help keep the driveway in good shape and this is when all the extra cars and people showing up at his house and harassing him
and his wife. Mr. Rigsby wanted a report on this incident.
