A woman reported that her purse was stolen at the Trion Wal-Mart on Sunday earlier this week.

Victim/complainant Holly Crabb is recorded in reports as saying that she was trying on shoes in the shoe department when she laid down her small rectangular black leather purse, and that when she went to retrieve the purse, it was gone.

Miss Crabb advised that while her purse contained no cash, it did have credit/debit cards which she had canceled, her diver’s license, and miscellaneous items totaling about $300 in value.

The sheriff’s deputy told Crabb that they would connect with Wal-Mart’s asset protection department and obtain surveillance camera footage.

The case remains under investigation at the sheriff’s office.
