A Rains Circle resident reported a theft by taking on Monday. According to the Sheriff's Department report, the man said a family member had some friends over a couple of days before and the next morning he noticed that someone had taken his tool box from the carport. He said on Monday, he went to get his guitar from the dining room and found that it was gone, along with some musical equipment. He said he said the family member and friends were the only ones that had been at been at the house. While the deputy was there the man called the family member who said she didn't see anyone take anything and was on the way home. The deputy reportedly called an investigator to the residence to wait for the woman's arrival and she never showed up, according to the report.
