The storied career of Chattooga County Coroner Earle Rainwater will be honored with a reception on Saturday, December 7, 2024. The event is open to the public and will take place at the Chattooga County Civic Center (located at 44 Ga-38, Summerville, GA) from 3-5pm.
Earle has served as Coroner for 48 years, beginning in 1976, making him one of the longest serving elected officials in the history of Chattooga County. He is the owner of Rainwater Funeral Home in Summerville and will continue to manage that enterprise.
Barbara Massey Reece, one of the organizers, stated, “We wanted to let everyone have a chance to express their congratulations to Earle for his exemplary service to the community.”
All friends of Earle’s in the Chattooga community and surrounding areas are invited to drop-by anytime between the hours of 3 PM and 5 PM. Light refreshments will be served.
