Redmond EMS had been providing ambulance service in Chattooga County for about two weeks now and they plan to have a ribbon cutting next Wednesday at the headquarters on Stockade Road in Summerville.  Earlier this week they issued a press release:

A ribbon cutting ceremony is planned on Wednesday, April 20, 10:00 a.m. at the Chattooga Main Station on 200 Stockade Road in Summerville to celebrate Redmond EMS in Chattooga County.

Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters said that the change-over has been running smoothly and expressed appreciation to the former Chattooga EMS employees for their dedication and help during the transition.

Redmond is still looking for property for an EMS station in Trion, but has moved into locations in Gore and Menlo.  The Redmond EMS Station in Gore is being housed in a mobile unit next to Gore Fire Hall.  In Menlo the Redmond EMS Station is located between Ballard Hardware and the Menlo Post Office.
