It’s down to the wire with only two days left before Redmond EMS takes over the Chattooga County Ambulance service.  Redmond submitted a final execution contract to the commissioner’s office on Tuesday.  Commissioner Winters said that the county attorney has reviewd the contract and Winters expects to sign the contract on Thursday.

Commissioner Winters said that he is still working on some human resources issues with Redmond.  At issue is sick days that Chattooga County EMS employees have accrued.  Winters said that the county EMS service has allowed current employees to acrue up to 20 sick days and many of the employees still have those days that they have not taken.  Winters said he is working with Redmond EMS to allow those sick days to transfer to the new service.
