Today is the day that officials at Redmond Regional Medical center begin enforceing their policy of No Tobacco on the entire Rome Hospital’s campus.  Back in April Redmond told employees they could no longer use tobacco at work and starting today the general public can’t use tobacco either; not in the hospital, not outside the hospital…technically not even in your own car parked on hospital property.   Signs have been posted around the hospital to tell visitors about the policy.  Redmond says that tobacco is un healthy and as a medical care facillity they feel the ban promotes good health.
