Redmond is working to finalize details as Chattooga County transitions from a county-run ambulance service to a privatized service.  Part of the agreement with Chattooga County to provide ambulance service is the establishment of satellite stations which will house ambulances in various parts of the county.

Commissioner Jason Winters said that response times will be cut significantly with ambulances located in Gore, Summerville, Trion and Menlo.  Redmond has indicated that the ambulance station in Gore may be a temporary structure.  Plans are being finalized for a location in Menlo.

Redmond is set to begin operations in Chattooga County on April 1, 2011.
