Chattooga County Commissoner Jason Winters has made the decision to use Redmond Regional as the Ambulance Provider for the county. The decision was made and now the work begins as Redmond starts the process of taking over the county’s ambulance service.
Part of the plan, and part of the reason Commissioner Winters chose Redmond is to have three satellite ambulance stations in the county to cut down on response times. Those will be located in Gore, Trion and Menlo. The satellite stations will be constructed, but in the mean time, Roberty Early with Redmond EMS says that mobile structures may have to be used.
Redmond is set to take over operations in the county on April 1.
