Redmond EMS Director Robert Early said on Saturday that the transition from the county-run Chattooga County EMS to the privately rund Redmond EMS in Chattooga County went "very smooth."

Early spoke to the local Democratic Party at their regular monthly meeting on Saturday at Pop’s Restaurant in Summerville.  Early thanked the Chattooga County EMS employees and County Commissioner Jason Winters and said that they were the reason the transition had gone so well.

Redmond EMS took over the Chattooga County ambulance service on April 1 of this year.
