A reminder for commuters in Walker County: Georgia Highway 95 will be closed this week for thru traffic due to construction work by the Georgia Department of Transportation.  Highway 95 runs between Highway 151 in the Naomi area across to Highway 27  at Rock Spring.  Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson says, “Locals should be able to use Clyde Byrd Road and Tarvin Road. The work will be in the 3600 block of Hwy 95.”  The DOT says the work will take most of the week to complete, depending on weather.
