Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who represents Northwest Georgia’s 14th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, is the top congressional fundraiser in the state, according to recently filed documents with the Federal Election Commission.

The Greene campaign had raised nearly $5 million through the end of the first quarter, according to a report filed with the Federal Election Commission. Of that amount, about $4.8 million came from individual contributors, including $3.4 million in small-dollar donations of $200 or less.

Meanwhile, Democrat Joseph Leigh of Rossville, had raised only a little more than $17,000, including $7,000 in the form of a loan he made to his campaign.

The 14th Congressional District includes 11 counties in Northwest Georgia: Walker, Catoosa, Chattooga, a portion of Cobb County, Dade, Floyd, Gordon, Murray, Paulding, Polk, and Whitfield.
