State Representative Barbara Masse Reece (D-Menlo) has been elected
vice chairman of the House Rural Caucus, the largest non-partisan caucus in
the Georgia House of Representatives.
“I am honored to be elected by my peers, and I look forward to working across the aisle to help serve rural Georgia,” said Rep. Reece.
Consisting of approximately 55 House members, the Rural Caucus was created six years ago to address issues affecting rural areas and rural communities. Rep. Reece served as secretary of the Caucus for each of those six years, before being elected vice chairman this year.
The caucus also elected Representative Bob Hanner (R-Parrott) as Chairman, Representative Carol Fullerton (D-Albany) as Secretary, and Representative Tommy Benton (R-Jefferson) as Treasurer
