New scams are in operation in our area frequently. North Georgia EMC says that their members should always be suspicious of callers claiming to be from any utility company.

NGEMC says, “While we cannot prevent scammers from contacting our members, NGEMC does endeavor to learn more and keep our members informed of any threatening tactics being used to target our members and our communities.”

If you are contacted by someone claiming to be from North Georgia EMC, and you suspect a scam, you should contact your nearest North Georgia EMC office or contact the utility company online and report the incident.
