Rome City Commissioner Wendy Davis announced this week that she has entered the race for Congress in northwest Georgia’s 14th District.

“We need a true Northwest Georgia voice for our communities,” said Davis. “I’ll focus on getting results for our families, not chasing national attention with embarrassing, erratic conspiracy theories.”

According to a press release about her run for Congress,  Davis said, “We don’t need more obstruction and extremism out of Washington – it’s time to get things done again.”

Davis has served on the Rome City Commission for over a decade and has been active in the Democratic Party of Georgia and the Floyd County Democratic Party.
