A Rome man remained in jail Sunday without bond after being accused of having pills and driving under the influence of drugs.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Jeffery Dean Swanson, 44, of 2 Robinson Ave., was arrested Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the corner of Robinson Avenue and Rooney Road when he was pulled over for driving under the influence.

Officers found 14 blue pills on Swanson.

Swanson is charged with felony possession of a Schedule IV drug and misdemeanor driving under the influence of drugs.
