Labron Deon Southern, age 36 of Rome, was arrested Monday following a traffic stop at the intersection of Turner McCall Boulevard and Riverside Parkway. 

Reports said during that traffic stop Southern allegedly attempted to throw a bag of cocaine into the river.

Southern is charged with possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, criminal trespassing, and driving on a suspended license.
