A 23-year old Rome man was jailed Friday on a charge of enticing a child for indecent purposes.

According to arrest warrants on file at the Floyd County Jail, Cedric Jerome Sams, Jr., of a Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard address, lured a 12-year old to his vehicle for the purpose of indecent acts.

The allegedly incident occurred on January 11 at a location on Hawthorne Street.
