A twenty-one-year-old Rome man has been indicted on accusations that he brutally stabbed and dismembered a Cumming man in November. The two men were once friends, according to reports.
Brandon Christopher Risner was indicted by a Floyd County grand jury who heard details of the case against Risner last week. Risner is accused of killing Aaron William Davis. The two men grew up together and attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints together as children. Davis had recently graduated from Brigham Young University and the two had produced YouTube videos together.
Davis went missing in November of last year and police found his vehicle abandoned in a ditch. When police visited the place where Davis was last seen, they found a bloody mattress and blood on the carpet, ceiling and walls of an upstairs bedroom. Police later found Davis’ body in the woods nearby under 6-12 inches of dirt.
Police arrested Risner who was charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, concealing the death of another, abandonment of a dead body, and theft by taking, as well as misdemeanor removal of body parts from the scene of a death, tampering with evidence and obstruction of an officer. He continues to be held without bond at the Floyd County Jail.
