Rome Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the parking lot of the Scottish Inn on Martha Berry Boulevard in the early morning hours Sunday.

There is no word on any suspect or suspects who may be responsible for the teenage victim’s death. Those working at the motel at the time of the shooting say they didn’t hear any shots fired, but became aware of the incident a few moments later when the ensuing commotion drew attention. No other injuries are believed to be related to the incident.

As of Monday evening, Rome police were still not releasing a survelience video from the motel and had not named any suspects in the fatal shooting.
