Rome Police are investigating a fight in North Rome that included gunfire early Sunday Morning. The fight was first reported around 1:00 AM by someone at the scene who told Floyd County E-911 that there was a fight and shots had been fired, then hung up. 911 operators dispatched police units and tried to re-establish contact with the original complainant and another neighbor called and also reported gunshots. Police arrived to find the main suspect still on the scene. The first police units had the suspect lay on the ground until back-up arrived and were able to cuff him. No one was shot but an ambulance was called to the scene to treat a pregnant female who was struck in the abdomen during the fight. Police arrested 3 males in the incident who were booked into the Floyd County Jail.
