Two Rome women have been arrested on charges of aggravated animal cruelty after three dead dogs in a state of partial decay were found on the property of a residence on Tency Lane.
According to Floyd County Jail records, 39-year old Deane Nicole League and 32-year old Lisa Michelle League failed to provide necessary care for the animals, resulting in their deaths.
Deplorable conditions were reported in the home, where a child was also living.
Both women also face a 2nd-degree child cruelty charge.
